Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate(Local): $140 – $150 per hour
Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a seasoned Chief Operations Officer (COO) to provide strategic and operational leadership in a major healthcare facility. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO exercises a high level of independent judgment and assumes full responsibility for delegated areas of hospital operations, including Facilities Management, Clinical Operations, Ancillary Services, Emergency Management, and General Administration .
The COO serves as the Deputy to the CEO, ensuring efficient, compliant, and patient-centered delivery of services while fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Oversee planning, development, and execution of operational programs, policies, and procedures.
Support the CEO in implementing strategic goals and evaluating performance against established objectives.
Supervise hospital operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Coordinate between facility departments and administrative offices to ensure operational alignment.
Oversee procurement, construction, and facility enhancement projects within budgetary and policy guidelines.
Participate in and lead interdepartmental meetings to strengthen internal communication and collaboration.
Maintain positive relationships with external agencies, professional organizations, and community partners.
Contribute to the development of management reporting systems for data-driven decision-making.
Develop and manage annual operating budgets; monitor expenses and resource utilization.
Foster a high-performance culture through staff evaluation, coaching, and leadership development.
Act on behalf of the CEO during absences or as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 6 years of full-time, progressive experience in hospital administration, public administration, or a related leadership role.
Proven track record of managing hospital operations or major divisions within a healthcare organization.
Strong understanding of healthcare laws, accreditation standards, and hospital regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, fiscal management, and staff leadership.
Education:
Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
