Quality Manager
Job summary:This role supports a high‑volume manufacturing environment focused on producing quality‑driven consumer and industrial products. The Continuous Improvement Manager oversees site-wide quality systems, customer specifications, supplier compliance, and internal process controls. The position plays a key role in improving product consistency, operational efficiency, and regulatory adherence, while contributing to broader plant initiatives related to safety and performance. Responsibilities: * Ensure all safety, quality, GMP, and facility standards are followed, enforced, and continuously improved.
* Translate customer specifications into clear manufacturing requirements and quality expectations.
* Establish inspection, testing, and verification methods required to meet customer and internal standards.
* Oversee customer complaint investigations, corrective actions, long‑term tracking, and trend analysis.
* Work directly with suppliers to communicate requirements and address nonconformances.
* Develop, maintain, and refine procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS).
* Conduct and document in‑process inspections and testing for production jobs.
* Perform incoming inspections for raw materials and record findings.
* Track monthly quality metrics and prepare reports on complaints, internal issues, and vendor performance.
* Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and FSC/SFI chain‑of‑custody standards.
* Lead internal audits, coordinate third‑party audits, and prepare the facility for assessment activities.
* Participate in plant safety initiatives and monthly safety team activities.
* Lead investigations into customer issues, internal defects, and supplier‑related concerns.
* Communicate with vendors regarding material issues and create documentation when needed.
* Oversee and support 5S program efforts to maintain workplace organization. Requirements:
* Prior leadership experience in quality management within a printing, packaging, or similar production environment.
* Reliable and consistent attendance with the ability to maintain a steady work schedule.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with strong general computer and typing skills.
* Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, service‑oriented attitude.
* Capable of working independently, managing assignments with minimal supervision, and following established procedures.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information.
