Overview:
A leading construction organization is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead the installation, startup, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and control systems on complex projects. This role oversees MEP field execution, subcontractor coordination, and commissioning activities, often in live or mission‐critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead MEP construction, startup, and commissioning activities
- Assist with bidding and selection of mechanical and electrical trades
- Manage MEP equipment procurement, expediting, and delivery tracking
- Develop and maintain MEP critical path schedules
- Review MEP submittals and coordinate installation activities
- Lead MEP coordination and commissioning meetings
- Develop and execute MOPs for work in live environments
- Resolve MEP field conflicts with subs and design teams
- Oversee MEP quality control and system testing
- Coordinate with third-party commissioning agents
- Manage commissioning documentation and system turnover
- Maintain strong client relationships on-site
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of MEP construction or field leadership experience
- Experience as an MEP, Mechanical, or Electrical Superintendent
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls systems
- Proven experience with MEP startup and commissioning
- Experience managing subcontractors in active construction environments
- Proficiency with tools such as Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam, MS Project
Plusses:
- Healthcare, data center, life sciences, or large commercial project experience
- Experience in live or mission‐critical environments
- Familiarity with BAS/BMS, generators, UPS, chillers, and switchgear
- Design-build or fast‐track project experience
