Director of Community Schools
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support school-day and enrichment programming, with a strong emphasis on identifying and securing grant opportunities at the local, state, federal, and national levels.
- Lead all stages of the grant writing process, including researching funding opportunities, writing compelling proposals, aligning projects with funder priorities, developing budgets, and submitting applications in a timely manner.
- Manage post-award responsibilities such as compliance, data collection, narrative and financial reporting, and maintaining strong relationships with funders to support renewal and future funding opportunities. Create and maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal cycles.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with philanthropic partners, local businesses, and in-kind donors to diversify funding streams and strengthen community investment.
- Develop systems to track program outcomes and impact metrics, ensuring that data can be effectively communicated to funders and stakeholders through reports, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with the business office to align budgeting with revenue targets and ensure accurate financial management and reporting for all funded programs.
- Lead the design and implementation of innovative enrichment programs.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Community Schools, Site Coordinators, community partners to ensure alignment with academic priorities and wraparound supports.
- Support professional development for program staff and maintain quality assurance standards.
- Identify and scale best practices across sites.
- Develop and oversee strategies to deepen parent engagement in school decision-making and student learning.
- Launch Home School Council, monthly family-focused workshops, leadership development programs, and community events.
- Partner with school staff to address barriers to parent participation (language, access, cultural responsiveness).
- Create measurable goals to evaluate engagement outcomes.
- Expanding and redeveloping the Community Advisory Board by leveraging partnerships built over the past year with nonprofits, corporate businesses, and private foundations to strengthen strategic guidance, align resources, and better support all CCSP stakeholders with essential services and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4 Years of Experience in program development, education, or not-for-profit settings
- 2 Years of Supervisory Experience
