Warehouse Operations Director

Glazzio Tiles , a leader in the tile industry is currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Warehouse Operations Director to oversees the daily functions of warehouse operations at our facility in Burlington, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, continuous improvement, and warehouse operations.

Leadership Overview:

• Work order staging
• Order fulfillment
• Shipping
• Returns processing
• Site maintenance and upkeep

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating warehouse leadership team to ensure all operational needs are met through staffing and workload distribution.
• Developing SOPs, policies, and processes to ensure standards are met
• Responsible for keeping departmental metrics pertinent to all warehousing activities.
• Drives communication between the business unit teams and warehouse.
• Collaborates with internal departments and external sources to resolve issues with distribution operations relating to projects and goals and to ensure supplies are available to meet time frame promised.
• Identifies and implements measures to improve methods, team performance and quality of work as measured by metrics.
• Responsible for maintaining proper inventory records and performing physical inventory inspections of material.
• Identifies and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the department.
• Ensures team members are thoroughly trained and documents training.
• Reviews and provides feedback to employees on job performance.
• Ensures that site security measures are in place and functioning properly.
• Interprets and enforces Company policies to team members and initiates corrective action/counseling.
• Maintains an orderly and clean warehouse environment.
• Leads and enforces safety awareness within the warehouse
• Responsible for site maintenance and security, vendor relations, and scheduling of needs and services as required.
• This position may require overtime and/or weekend work. Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training OR minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training.
• College Level Mathematical Skills
• Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.
• Full Professional English Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
• High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms. High Standard of Report Writing
• MS Office Suite and Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge and usage
• Spanish bilingual is a plus
