Dental receptionist / admin

A Dental Receptionist is responsible for managing the front office operations of a dental practice. As the first point of contact for patients, they handle a variety of administrative and customer service tasks. Their role includes scheduling and confirming appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and insurance inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming and organized reception area. A Dental Receptionist ensures that the dental office runs efficiently and that patients have a positive experience from the moment they walk in.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet patients as they arrive and check them in for their appointments.

Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.

- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance.

- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical histories.

- Maintain and update patient records in the practice management system.

- Process patient payments, including co-pays and insurance claims.

- Manage patient billing, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.

- Assist with filing, faxing, and other administrative tasks as needed.

- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.

- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely treatment.

- Handle office correspondence, including emails and patient reminders.

full-time $22 - $27 per hour
