L&D Registered Nurse - LDRN 25-30964

Job Summary:  We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery team. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, implementing care plans, and collaborating with physicians to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, family-focused environment.

• Evaluate and monitor patients, assisting physicians with patient care as needed.

• Identify patient needs and determine priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans based on ongoing assessments.

• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care in accordance with clinical standards.

• Document nursing care accurately, reflecting standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

• Advocate for and apply evidence-based nursing practices and innovations in care delivery.

• Provide patient- and family-centered care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery with couplet care experience .

• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to respond effectively in complex care situations.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.

Required:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey or multi-state compact license

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

• Hours per week: 36

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week

• Contract length: 13 weeks from start date, with potential 6-month extension

• Availability: Candidates able to start immediately will be given priority consideration

• Shift type: Experienced Labor & Delivery nurses with couplet experience required
