Android Engineer
Location: NJ/NY or Chicago - 3-4 days a week onsite is mandatory
Length: 6-10 months Android Engineer • Candidates should be comfortable with AI tools to assist development and day-to-day efficiency
• Work closely with senior engineers to implement product requirements into clean, functional UI using Jetpack Compose and the existing design system
• Write readable, testable Kotlin code following design patterns and team coding standards
• Build and maintain UI screens and components in Jetpack Compose, guided by the existing component library and design tokens
• Add analytics events to new and existing features following established naming conventions and schemas
• Follow accessibility guidelines (TalkBack, content descriptions, touch target sizing) when building UI
• Write unit and UI tests for assigned features
• Use AI coding tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to assist with day-to-day development tasks
• Participate actively in code reviews — give and receive feedback with curiosity and a growth mindset
• Take ownership of small, well-scoped features end-to-end with guidance from senior engineers
