Job Summary:
Jersey Child Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team. As a Child Care Staff Member, you will play a key role in managing and supervising children in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment that promotes their development and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Meets all state requirements for the position.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
  • OR must be enrolled in a high school work-study program related to child care.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday to at least waist height.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily classroom activities and child engagement.

• Provide support and guidance to children during social, academic, and behavioral challenges.

• Develop and implement lesson plans, programs, and schedules appropriate for the age group.

• Prepare instructional materials and classroom aids.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.

• Assist children during meals and facilitate clean-up routines.

• Complete all required paperwork, including: Daily Notes, Attendance Logs, Incident Reports, Etc.

• Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.

• Attend professional development activities such as workshops and training sessions.

• Communicate any issues or concerns to the Director promptly.

• Notify the Director in advance if unable to attend work.
