Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year A bit about us: Our client, a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider, is seeking a highly analytical and solutions-oriented Industrial Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives across their distribution and warehouse operations. This role will focus on optimizing processes, improving operational efficiency, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance productivity and service levels within a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in process optimization, warehouse operations, and data analysis, along with a hands-on approach to driving measurable improvements across distribution networks. 2. Applying Lean/Six Sigma principles to identify, analyze, and resolve process inefficiencies.
3. Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence and enhance customer satisfaction.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
5. Conducting time studies, capacity modeling, and cost analysis to optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
6. Monitoring the performance of implemented projects and processes, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and sustainability.
7. Providing technical guidance and training to staff on new processes and systems.
8. Staying updated with the latest industrial engineering trends and best practices. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a 3PL environment.
3. Proven experience in applying Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements.
4. Strong knowledge of continuous improvement principles and techniques.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Proficiency in using industrial engineering software and tools.
9. Certification in Lean/Six Sigma will be an added advantage.
