Forklift Operator
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse or manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods efficiently and safely within the facility. This role requires flexibility and a strong work ethic to meet demanding production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down, stand-up, or order picker forklifts to transport materials and products.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping zones.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks.
- Secure loads and ensure proper stacking and distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as packing, labeling, and order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- 6 months to 1 year of forklift experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work Schedule & Hours:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday and most Saturdays .
- Hours: Must be able to work 55–65 hours per week , including overtime as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
