About This Role
Part time position, June 24th to Aug 15th. Camp meets 3 or 4 days a week, Mon to Thurs from 9am to 2pm. Students are ages 2 to 5 and groups are assigned by age. Typical camp day consists of playground time, outdoor water play, snack, lunch, and air conditioned classroom time during which projects are completed. If weather is inclement, we have a large indoor space for the children to play in.
What You'll DoDuties include supervising children, assisting in bathroom if necessary, changing diapers if necessary, changing children into dry clothes after water play, organizing age appropriate art projects/activities that coordinate with the theme of the week, maintaining classroom - ensure toys are clean, safe and stored at the end of the day, maintain communication with class assistant, and help to ensure our children have a fabulous experience in summer camp.
Requirements- Previous experience working with children, either in a school environment or in camp
- Able to get on the floor to help children change into dry clothing
- Able to easily maneuver around classroom items and children
- Able to create fun classroom projects/activities to complement the theme of the week
- High energy and happy presence
- Education degree
- Currently in college pursuing a degree in education
- CPR/First Aid
