About This Role

Mountain Lakes Country Day School is currently searching for a devoted and compassionate individual to join our infant team as a full-time staff member, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities include:

• Caring for infants aged 3 to 17 months by feeding, diapering, and engaging in play
• Maintaining the safety, well-being, and development of all children under your care
• Establishing open lines of communication with parents
• Reading stories, playing, and creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants
• Implementing age-appropriate, developmentally enriching activities to foster growth and learning

As part of our supportive team of four experienced infant teachers, you will be contributing to a dynamic and inclusive environment.

We are seeking a candidate with prior experience working with young children who embodies patience, attentiveness, and a genuine passion for infants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and supervision to a small group of children.
• Develop daily classroom plans and routines to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for children.
• Guarantee a clean, safe, and engaging environment for all children at all times.
• Develop a growing understanding of child development through daily interactions, written documentation, and communication with families.
• Record daily activities, injuries, and notable behaviors using daily sheets and complete required incident or injury reports accurately.
• Maintain open communication with parents and staff to ensure consistency and transparency in care.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Prior experience caring for infants is strongly preferred

Mountain Lakes Country Day School provides quality care for infants, ages 6 weeks to 18 months; toddlers, ages 18 to 36 months; preschoolers, ages 3 to 4 years, and kindergartners, ages 4 to 6 years. Classrooms are broken down by age group and activities are planned for small groups on the principles of developmentally appropriate practices using The Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies.Our center is open all year with limited closings for holidays and staff training.
