Position Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Physician Services
Location: North Bergen, NJ 07047
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)

Schedule:

• Day Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• 5 × 8-Hour Shifts (40 Hours per Week)

• 30-Minute Lunch Included

• No Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, or Float Requirement

Pay Rate: $19 – $22 per hour (Negotiable based on experience)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both clinical and administrative functions in a physician services setting. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers with patient care, perform routine clinical procedures, maintain accurate patient documentation, and help ensure smooth daily clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms, medical supplies, and instruments.

• Prepare patients for provider visits and assist during examinations.

• Obtain and document patient vital signs.

• Perform clinical tests such as EKG, pulmonary function tests (PFT), audiometry, and vision screening after competency validation.

• Conduct laboratory tasks including phlebotomy, urine drug screening (UDS), and breath alcohol testing (BAT) once verified.

• Maintain and update patient charts, files, and clinical documentation.

• Assist with front office support including collections and basic billing tasks when needed.

• Utilize electronic systems for documentation and office operations.

• Ensure compliance with patient privacy and confidentiality standards.

• Communicate effectively with patients and families while adapting care to diverse age groups, cultures, and needs.

• Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Certified Medical Assistant credential (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent).

• AHA BLS Certification.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Basic knowledge of computer systems and electronic documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program .

• Previous experience performing EKG, phlebotomy, and laboratory testing .
