Quality Control Manager
Reports to: CEO

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 USD/Annually

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Perform tests on products to ensure they meet specified standards and customer requirements.
- Manage the inspection of inbounds from suppliers.
- Document and report any defects or non-conformities identified during inspections.
- Monitor the production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify areas of improvement within the production process to enhance product quality.
- Work closely with production staff to implement quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on product quality to management.
- Ensure all quality control documentation is up-to-date and properly filed.
- Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding material quality issues.
- Provide training and support to production staff on quality control standards and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in quality control methods.
- Propose and implement improvements to the quality control system.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, regulations, and certifications.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The regular work schedule for this position is approximately 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) and may require additional hours/overtime as necessary. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. This position is based in a manufacturing facility, and exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures is expected. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Ability to adjust focus and Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, bend, and walk. Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years of QC/QA experience and/or transferable experience in a similar role
- Experience in furniture manufacturing and/or a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with wood, laminates, varying finishes, and other materials
- A strong understanding of cabinet construction standards and tolerances including but not limited to door alignment, joint quality, etc.
- The ability to implement quality standards and inspection methods such as calipers, gauges, templates, and measuring devices
- Knowledge of CNC machining, edge banding, assembly lines, and finishing processes
- Working knowledge of computer and reporting programs
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish preferred
- Ability to lead and ensure best practices among production staff
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Compliant with occupation health and safety standards (OSHA)
The published salary range is used as a guide to provide prospective candidates with a level of compensation that is competitive with today’s market. The salary range for this position is a good faith estimate that allows for flexibility to align with various levels of experience, education, and performance.
