The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The Social Worker Licensed is responsible for providing all patients with weekly individual sessions, weekly family sessions, and crisis intervention while the patient is in the program milieu as needed, developing a treatment plan and working with family, psychiatrist, and BA staff in implementing interventions and following progress towards treatment goals.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work
Preferred:
- One year previous experience in a healthcare setting
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- NJ Licensed Social Worker
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shift working, 4 days per week 8:00-4:30pm or 8:30–5:00pm, and 1 evening per week, i.e., 11:30-7:30pm or 12:00-8:00pm
- Full-Time (FT)
Essential Functions:
- Obtains appropriate release of information
- Designs and implements treatment plans, including individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy, and evaluates and documents patient outcomes according to department policy and procedure
- Interprets nature of illness and prescribed course of treatment to patients and families
- Communicates family issues to other staff members. Participates in planning conferences
- Maintains up-to-date and complete records of patient information according to established standards
- As a member of the multidisciplinary team, assists in reviewing and updating treatment and discharge plans
- Collaborates with other hospital programs and community agencies with which patients and families are involved
- Assesses patients needs through clinical interviews, chart/history review and through the use of standardized instruments
- Renders care to the following age groups: infant/neonate, child and adolescent
- Knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan and of criteria to identify victims of abuse and neglect
- Performs age-specific assessments
- Uses communications appropriate to age
- Assesses age-specific safety issues
- Interprets patient data and responses
