The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The AP Processor is responsible for the coordination of invoice processing in accordance with policy and procedures. They will perform research, problem solve, take action and escalate to ensure the payment is made to the vendor within the appropriate timeframe,.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required,

Associates degree preferred,

Two years accounts payable or finance experience,

Strongly prefer experience within multiple locations and PeopleSoft a plus,

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications,

Able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, possess good communication (written and verbal) skills,

Key Competencies

  1. Interface with vendors and end-users explain and educate on policy compliance when necessary.
  2. Independently balance workload and adhere to timelines, deadlines with a high degree of accuracy,

Provide team coverage along with handling special projects and other duties as assigned.

  1. Work is performed in a fast paced and challenging office environment
  2. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
  3. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
  4. Requires prolonged sitting and computer use; requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
  5. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports.

Responsibilities:

  1. Processes vouchers in compliance with policies and guidelines while working their assigned roles/tasks in the OCR and ERP systems.
  2. Performs research, problem solves and takes corrective action to ensure payments are made within appropriate timeframes including vendor addition invites/notifications.
  3. Performs follows up on the assigned timeline for invoices pending approval to ensure they are addressed in a timely fashion.
  4. Informs management and end-users of delays of complications within the process.
  5. Prepares documentation for audits and reroutes to alternative approvers when an approver is out of the office.
  6. Balances and maintain workload with minimal supervision while adhering to departmental policies, procedures and position/department performance standards.
  7. Able to perform the AP Verifier role, provides team coverage and special projects as needed.
  8. Produces updates, emails, and other communication in a clear and effective manner.
  9. Establish and maintain rapport through effective communication and timely follow-up with customers, coworkers, management, and outside agencies/vendors.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned
