Packaging Technician – Medical Device (GMP Environment)
Position Summary
The Packaging Technician is responsible for the packaging, labeling, and inspection of medical device products in a regulated GMP environment. This role ensures all products are packaged accurately and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards while following established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Package and label finished medical device products according to approved work instructions and specifications
- Verify product information including lot numbers, expiration dates, and label accuracy
- Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality and compliance requirements
- Complete batch records, packaging logs, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOPs, and regulatory requirements during packaging activities
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with cleanroom and GMP standards
- Identify and report product defects, deviations, or non-conformances to supervision or Quality Assurance
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of work areas and equipment
- Assist with inventory control of packaging materials and supplies
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2+ years of experience in packaging, manufacturing, or production environment
- Experience working in a GMP, FDA-regulated, or ISO-controlled environment preferred
- Ability to follow detailed SOPs and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping
This is a Permanent position based out of Wyckoff, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
