VP Business Development and Marketing - Golf Program

OverviewIn this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying new retail insurance partners and fostering existing relationships. Key responsibilities include networking and relationship-building, developing and implementing sales strategies, providing expert product knowledge, analyzing submissions, and tracking progress. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with relevant insurance licensure and a deep understanding of market trends and competitive landscapes. This role will drive business for our Golf Program. Knowledge of the sport or previous experience with this vertical is a plus.
How you'll make an impact- Prospecting and Relationship Building: Actively network with and build strong relationships with independent retail agents, brokers, and carriers to identify and develop new business opportunities. [ • Strategy Development: Develop and execute innovative sales and engagement strategies to meet or exceed production and premium growth targets. [ • Product and Market Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of specific insurance product lines, market trends, and underwriting guidelines to provide expert solutions to partners.]
- Submission Analysis and Qualification: Pre-qualify submissions from retail agents, analyze and rate client risk, and determine if the submission fits within our existing Golf Program.
- Market Monitoring: Proactively stay informed about industry, market, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and vulnerabilities.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline opportunities in a CRM system
- Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, underwriting, and other internal teams to support business development initiatives and achieve company goals.
- Education and Licensing: Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years related experience required. Appropriate insurance licensing required.
- Insurance Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of insurance coverages, products, and market trends is essential.
- Licensure: Must hold or be willing to obtain relevant property & casualty (P&C) and other appropriate business licenses or certifications.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal abilities are crucial for building strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Sales and Analytical Skills: Strong sales acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze market trends and data to identify new opportunities are vital.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with underwriting software and other data analysis tools are typically required.
- Travel: The role will involve travel to visit clients and partners.
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
