Packaging Operator
Operate all manual, automatic, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to combine ingredients and prepare them for various bakery products like bread and cakes, according to specific recipes and production schedules. Adhere to GMP, SQF standards, and company policies.
3rd shift position, from 10:30 PM to 7 AM, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Review MES Production Orders.
- Inspect all finished goods for damage, cleanliness, expiration, and lot code issues.
- Ensure line sanitation using specified SOP procedures.
- Complete pre-flight checklist prior to tasks.
- Maintain tools and equipment in reliable working condition.
- Use MES system for recording production.
- Understand and execute all allergen regulations according to SOPs.
- Perform quality checks on the production line and complete quality paperwork.
- Report downtime in the OEE system and understand its monitoring.
- Operate the packaging machine.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience working in a highly intensive and physical work environment, preferably in manufacturing GMP.
- Ability to use production computer screens and demonstrate basic computer literacy.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Capability to read, understand, and execute system instructions and training materials.
- Willingness to work overtime when mandated.
- Ability to follow instructions and pass a company physical.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Completion of skill assessments with passing scores as defined by company policy.
- Good attendance record with less than 5 points.
- Experience pertinent to the skills required and operation involved.
- Ability to learn computer systems and use scanning technology.
- SQF, GMP, and SOP training.

Work Environment
Work in a food manufacturing environment compliant with all CGMP and HAACP guidelines. The production floor is not climate-controlled, being cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Work boots are required, and adherence to CGMP policies is necessary, including wearing appropriate hair netting and no jewelry. This is a 3rd shift position, from 10:30 PM to 7 AM, Monday to Friday.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.41 - $22.89/hr.
