Job Overview:

 

The clinical dietitian is responsible for the nutrition care of hospitalized patients, including nutrition assessment, development and implementation of nutrition care plans, and nutrition education,

 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

• RD or RD eligible Status.

• Successful completion of site personnel general orientation and successful completion of department specific orientation. 

Preferred:

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience preferred

 

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem

  Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm

  Position requires weekday availability and weekend coverage

 

Essential Functions:

 

• Nutrition assessment, development and implementation of nutrition care plans, and nutrition education

• Assesses patient nutritional status and needs, develops and implements patient nutritional care plans in accordance with physician’s prescriptions and current nutritional practices and evaluates patient and family members on prescribed diet and nutritional information.

• Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span to provide appropriate nutrition care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients,

• Verbal and written ability is required to comprehend and document medical nutrition therapy, as well as communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team,
