This individual will play an important role in developing a scalable warehouse operation that supports continued company growth and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and oversee all daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inspection, storage, and inventory control.
· Optimize warehouse layout, storage locations, material flow, and space utilization.
· Lead and support warehouse personnel while promoting accountability, teamwork, safety, traceability and operational improvement/modernization
· Ensure that inventory is received, handled, stored, packaged, and shipped accurately and efficiently.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and location. Oversee regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation.
· Evaluate current inventory-control practices and implement improved processes, systems, and technologies to increase inventory accuracy, traceability/visibility.
· Help modernize warehouse operations through improved workflows, inventory-management tools, barcode systems, scanning technology, automation, or other appropriate solutions.
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping performance, receiving efficiency, and warehouse productivity.
· Develop and maintain standardized procedures for receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and inventory adjustments.
· Coordinate with purchasing, customer service, sales, product management, service, and accounting teams to support product availability and timely order fulfillment.
· Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
· Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
· Coordinate with freight carriers and shipping providers to support reliable service and cost-effective transportation.
· Oversee incoming shipments and ensure products are accurately received, inspected, documented, and entered into the company’s inventory system.
· Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable shipping and workplace requirements
· Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional warehouse environment.
· Perform other warehouse and operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
· REQUIRED: Multiple years of experience in one or more of the following
o Operations / supply chain management
o Logistics or shipping/receiving (in a leadership or supervisory role)
o Warehouse Management
o A related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
· Demonstrated experience managing shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
· Experience improving or implementing inventory-management systems, warehouse-management systems, barcode technology, scanning systems, or related operational tools.
· Strong knowledge of inventory-control practices, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse organization.
· Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to analyze operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical improvements.
· Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to inventory accuracy and quality.
Preferred Attributes
· Hands-on leader who is comfortable working alongside the warehouse team.
· Process-oriented with a continuous-improvement mindset.
· Comfortable introducing new systems and helping employees adopt improved procedures.
· Able to balance immediate operational needs with long-term warehouse development.
· Interested in building efficient, scalable warehouse operations rather than simply maintaining existing processes.
