Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Location: Neptune, NJ

Schedule Options: 5x8-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts Evening shift 40 hours/week Job

Summary: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist. This position requires a professional who can work independently in a fast-paced, acute care environment, including emergency, trauma, OR, and pediatric settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with minimal supervision.

Properly position and immobilize patients, selecting appropriate technical factors tailored to each case.

Use cone and collimation devices to minimize radiation exposure to unaffected areas.

Conduct portable x-rays in patient rooms, operating rooms, and the emergency department.

Accurately label and process x-ray films, ensuring correct patient identification and side marking.

Maintain an orderly and clean imaging environment.

Prepare and assist in administering radiopaque contrast media under physician guidance.

Support administrative duties such as scheduling, patient instruction, film filing, and recordkeeping.

Assist patients with mobility needs related to radiology procedures.

Adhere to patient care standards including communication and cultural sensitivity. Follow all organizational competencies and safety protocols.

Qualifications: Education (Required): High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program. Completion of clinical training and ARRT requirements.

Licensure/Certifications (Required): Current New Jersey State License in Radiologic Technology. Eligibility to sit for and pass the ARRT exam.

Experience (Preferred): Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care facility. Experience in emergency room, trauma, OR, and pediatric radiography. Ability to perform portable imaging independently.

Work Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push/pull at least 10 lbs., and stand for 6+ hours daily. Strong understanding of patient-centered care, including special considerations based on age, culture, and communication needs.
