Senior Manager of Youth Soccer
The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Manager of Youth Soccer to help lead and expand the club’s youth soccer initiatives across the New York and New Jersey markets. Reporting to the Head of Youth Soccer, this individual will play a key role in executing Gotham FC’s strategy to deepen engagement within the youth soccer community through partnerships, camps, clinics, and club programming.
The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, organizer, and creative problem-solver with a strong understanding of the US youth soccer landscape. This role combines strategic planning, program execution, and stakeholder management to grow Gotham FC’s youth presence and future fan base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Youth Soccer in the development and delivery of Gotham FC’s youth soccer strategy.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of Gotham FC’s youth soccer programs, including clinics, camps, and community activations.
- Manage logistics, scheduling, and coordination with youth clubs, coaching staff, and facilities to ensure a premium experience.
- Track, analyze, and report on program performance, providing recommendations to enhance efficiency and impact across all programs.
- Assist in building and growing the Gotham FC Youth Club Membership Program, onboarding and supporting member clubs at various partnership tiers.
- Identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities within the youth soccer ecosystem.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Ticketing, Marketing & Fan Experience, and Partnerships, to maximize youth soccer initiatives and align them with broader club goals.
- Help drive awareness and participation through creative engagement strategies and grassroots youth soccer marketing efforts.
- Assist in budget planning, vendor management, and forecasting for youth soccer programs.
- Represent Gotham FC at youth soccer events, tournaments, and conferences to strengthen the club’s network and presence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- USSF B Coaching License or international equivalent
- 5–7 years of experience in youth sports management, partnership development, or soccer operations.
- Deep understanding of the youth soccer landscape in the New York / New Jersey region.
- Exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
- Proven track record in project execution, logistics, and program delivery.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the youth soccer calendar.
- Passion for soccer and Gotham FC’s mission to inspire the next generation of players and fans.
Capability & Other Characteristics:
- Experience in grassroots & Academy youth soccer in the United States
- Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Calm under pressure, collaborative, and solutions-oriented.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Location:
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility, and Sports Illustrated Stadium.
