We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Morristown Post Acute Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Morristown, New Jersey. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients.

About the Role:

As a Respiratory Therapist at Morristown Post Acute, you will be responsible for:

• Providing respiratory care services to patients with a variety of diagnoses and needs, including those with cardiac, orthopedic, renal, and pulmonary issues

• Performing respiratory therapies, such as aerosol treatments, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation, as ordered by physicians

• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that optimize patient outcomes

• Monitoring patients' respiratory status and reporting changes to the healthcare team

• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to ensure best practices and optimal patient care

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans for respiratory care

• Implement and monitor respiratory therapies, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans

• Provide respiratory education to patients and families, as needed

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

• Licensure/Certification: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required
