Locum PA (Physician's Assistant) Pediatric Surgery

As a Locum PA in Pediatric Surgery, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to our young patients. You will be instrumental in preoperative and postoperative care, as well as assisting in surgical procedures, making a significant impact on the lives of children and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures for pediatric patients
• Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative care
• Collaborate with surgical teams and healthcare providers
• Manage patient records and documentation accurately
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and recovery
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress during treatment
• Provide support in the clinic and hospital settings
• Adhere to best practices and standards of care in pediatric surgery

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent
• Active PA license and board certification
• Experience in pediatric surgery or related field strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and compassionate patient care
• Commitment to continuous professional development and training

Schedule: 12-hour shifts

Duties: Cover pediatric surgery practice, inpatient rounding, manage the floor, and possible OR time

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
