Job Summary:
The Patient Service Representative answers incoming calls, schedule appointments and perform a variety of administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work.
Responsibilities will include:
- Answer telephone and process phone calls
- Provide basic and accurate information via phone/email
- Warm transfer callers to appropriate party; take and relay messages as needed
- Make patient appointments; input information to EMR and outlook calendar
- Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
- Executing administrative tasks as necessary in support of all group initiatives, including but not limited to operations, marketing and finance departments
- Create, update and manage database files pertaining to patient and referring physician contact information
- Data reporting and analysis
- Content development and proofreading
- Media research and list development
- Company research and list development
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Skills and Experience
- Minimum three years of experience as telephone operator/appointment scheduler, preferably in a medical office
- Excellent interpersonal and phone etiquette communication skills; fluency in Spanish a plus
- Basic medical knowledge; vascular knowledge a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
