Job Summary
We are seeking a Personal Banker to join our team. In this role, you will assist our customers in managing their bank accounts and finances. You will develop long-term relationships with clients as well as network to generate new potential business. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, uses a customer-oriented approach to solving problems, and has proven experience in banking.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients to discover their bank services needs
- Assist clients in opening and closing bank accounts
- Provide resolution for any issues the customer may have with their accounts or banking services
- Refer clients to other financial experts within the bank when necessary
- Network and develop relationships with potential clients
- Educate prospective and existing clients on financial products and services
- Enter information into banking software
- Other administrative duties, as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Certification as a CPA or CMA is preferred
- Previous experience as a Personal Banker is preferred
- Deep understanding of personal banking regulations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, databases, and loan processing and banking software
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform in a goal-oriented environment
- Customer-oriented approach to handling problems
