Job Description

Seeking a skilled forklift operator with 1-2 years of experience in either traditional stand-up or sit-down forklifts within a warehouse setting. The role involves scanning inventory in and out using a scanner and computer system, and handling pallets through stacking, loading, unloading, and staging.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up or sit-down forklifts in a warehouse environment.
• Use scanners and computer systems for inventory management.
• Handle pallets by stacking, loading, unloading, and staging them.
• Utilize electric pallet jacks for material handling.
• Manage inventory and shipping tasks efficiently.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of experience operating a sit-down or traditional stand-up forklift.
• Proficiency in using scanners and computer systems for inventory.
• Experience in handling pallets and material management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification is preferred (traditional stand-up or sit-down).
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Inventory experience is a plus.
• Shipping and receiving skills are advantageous.

Work Environment

The position is based in Bayonne, NJ with open roles on the first shift (Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm) and the second shift (Monday - Friday, 3pm-11pm). The work involves spending 75% of the day on the forklift, moving pallets and staging orders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bayonne, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
