SAP Basis & Security Consultant
Akkodis is seeking an SAP Basis & Security Consultant for a Contract with a client in Morristown, NJ. You will design and implement compliant security frameworks and perform system administration tasks while supporting migration, performance tuning, and post‑go‑live operations .
Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
SAP Basis & Security Consultant job responsibilities include:
Design and implement SAP security roles, authorizations, and compliance controls across Azure‑hosted SAP systems.
Perform user provisioning, SoD analysis, role testing, and security audits to ensure adherence to SOX, GDPR, and BFSI standards.
Execute SAP BASIS administration tasks such as client copies, transport management, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
Support migration activities including export/import, SUM/DMO execution, environment validation, and post‑migration configuration.
Configure RFCs, secure communication protocols, integration points, and collaborate with Azure teams on IAM and infrastructure provisioning.
Maintain system health checks, automate routine BASIS tasks, implement backup and recovery procedures, and provide technical documentation and handover.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in SAP Security, SAP Authorization, and SAP BASIS (HANA preferred).
Strong expertise in designing SAP security roles, ensuring compliance with SOX/GDPR/BFSI, and performing SoD analysis.
Proven experience in SAP BASIS administration, including system monitoring, performance tuning, migrations (SUM/DMO), and Azure‑hosted SAP environments.
