Our client is a leader in building systems integration and energy-efficient HVAC solutions seeks a skilled Building Automation Controls Programmer to join the growing team and play a critical role in delivering innovative building automation solutions.

They design, program, and maintain advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS) that improve comfort, optimize performance, and reduce energy consumption across commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

The Building Automation Controls Programmer will be responsible for developing, configuring, and commissioning BAS software for HVAC systems and integrated building systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in controls platforms, field integration, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and program Building Automation Systems (BAS) for HVAC controls.
• Configure and test system databases, graphics, alarms, and trending.
• Commission, troubleshoot, and fine-tune control systems to ensure functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to deliver successful installations.
• Provide technical support, training, and documentation for clients and end-users.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and industry codes.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field a plus, or equivalent industry experience.
• ~Two (2 or more) years of experience in Building Automation Controls Programming
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building operations.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Tridium/Niagara N4 experience desired (Certifications are a plus).
• Johnson Controls CCT experience desired
• Experience implementing software code and managing all aspects of the software code delivery and commissioning for commercial Building Automation System (BAS) projects
• Ability to program projects with various levels of complexity
• Capable of performing network troubleshooting, database troubleshooting and repair, and programming
• Should be proficient with BACnet, Lon, and Modbus with BAS integration experience
• Read, write, and modify programming software for multiple controls manufacturers
• Set up and troubleshoot new site workstations and networks when necessary
• Willingness to travel to project sites
