Crystal Springs Resort is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hotel Engineer – Room Maintenance Specialist to join our engineering team. This role focuses on the upkeep, repair, and detailed maintenance of guest rooms, ensuring they meet the high standards of comfort and appearance expected by our guests. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with experience in painting, spackling, minor electrical and plumbing work, and overall room aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, including:
  • Painting and wall repair (spackling, sanding, touch-ups, etc.)
  • Light electrical work (e.g., replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures)
  • Basic plumbing (e.g., unclogging drains, fixing leaks, replacing faucets)
  • Carpentry and cosmetic repairs (e.g., fixing trim, doors, furniture)
• Ensure rooms are consistently maintained to hotel standards in terms of cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for room maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with housekeeping and front desk teams to coordinate room readiness.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in general maintenance or a hotel engineering role.
• Proficiency in painting, drywall repair, and general finishing work.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and plumbing.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
