General Laborer

This role involves performing a variety of hands-on tasks to repair, maintain, and prepare storage pods for use. You will use hand and power tools to complete basic assembly, make repairs, and ensure each unit meets quality and cleanliness standards while working in both indoor and outdoor areas of a non-climate-controlled warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic assembly tasks using hand tools to support the repair and maintenance of storage pods.
• Complete touch-up painting on storage pods to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Repair and replace hardware components such as bolts and latches on storage pods.
• Clean the interior and exterior of storage pods, ensuring they are free of debris and ready for use.
• Move, position, and organize storage pods and related materials as needed within the facility.
• Hang signs and replace stickers on storage pods according to established guidelines.
• Use power tools and power washing equipment safely to support repair, cleaning, and production tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and use tools and equipment according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in both indoor and outdoor workspaces.
• Collaborate with team members and follow instructions to complete daily work assignments efficiently.

• At least 2 years of experience using hand tools in a general labor, construction, assembly, or technician environment.
• At least 2 years of experience using power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience performing basic assembly tasks with hand tools.
• Ability to perform touch-up painting and related finishing work.
• Experience with general labor tasks such as moving, cleaning, and basic repairs.
• Ability to use power washing equipment or willingness to learn.
• Capability to work with general construction or production tools and materials.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to stand, move, lift, and work with tools throughout an 8-hour shift.

• Background in general labor, construction, or production environments.
• Experience working in a warehouse setting, including non-climate-controlled areas.
• Comfort working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in maintaining daily attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet daily goals.

Work Environment

This position follows a day shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for an 8-hour workday. You will work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and in outdoor areas, so temperatures and conditions will vary with the weather. The role requires frequent use of hand tools, power tools, and power washing equipment, as well as regular movement, lifting, and standing throughout the shift. The environment is active and production-oriented, with a focus on safe tool use and maintaining clean, orderly work areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Avenel, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
