Shore Point Distributing Co is a family-owned beverage distributor located in Freehold N.J. that carries an extensive line of national, regional and local beers, as well as wine, spirits and non-alcohol beverages. Shore Point Distributing Co is one of the largest beverage wholesalers in the state servicing Warren, Hunterdon, Burlington, Mercer, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Merchandiser to join our team in Freehold, NJ. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner, maximizing sales and profitability. You will work closely with the sales team to implement effective merchandising strategies. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain product displays in accordance with company standards
• Ensure that products are properly stocked and rotated
• Collaborate with sales team to develop and implement effective merchandising strategies
• Assisting in set up and breakdown of special events and promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

As a Merchandiser, you will use your skills in visual merchandising, merchandising, point of purchase displays, communicating effectively in store accounts, and retail merchandising on a daily basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner, maximizing sales and profitability. You will work closely with the sales team to implement effective merchandising strategies. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. College education preferred
• Prior beverage industry experience preferred
• Ability to lift and carry heavy weight up to 50 pounds
• Experience in visual merchandising and retail sales
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with point of purchase displays
• Familiarity with hand trucks and other merchandising equipment
• Knowledge of retail merchandising best practices
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record required
