Job Overview:

The Therapeutic Technician will work with adult consumers residing in a 15 bed community based residence who are diagnosed with a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. The candidate will support consumers in their wellness and recovery towards independent living.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in mental health field or High School Certificate with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a helping profession,
• Valid NJ Driver's License required with no restrictions,

Preferred:

• CPR/First/AED preferred - will be provided if certificate is not active,
• Bilingual skills appreciated

Scheduling Requirements:

• 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
• Sundays to Thursdays
• Full Time

Essential Functions:

• Support provided includes medication supervision, skill building, community integration, identifying a crisis, and applying appropriate interventions -in-depth training provided on site.
• Therapeutic technician will support other team members in providing a clean and therapeutic environment.
• The mission of the department is to assist consumers in their recovery and keep them stable in the community and aid in the transition to a less supervised level of housing supervision.
• Candidates will need to be patient and possess strong motivational skills to support the consumers in their individualized goals.
