Cashier

Cashier Oakland Ace Hardware

Starting Pay: $15.92 $18.00 per hour

As the friendly face at the front of our store, you'll be the first point of contact for our customershelping them find what they need, answering phone calls, and processing transactions quickly and accurately. You'll also assist with stocking shelves, tidying displays, placing special orders, calling customers for updates, and pitching in wherever needed to keep Oakland Ace Hardware the most helpful hardware store on the planet.

What You'll Do

• Provide excellent customer service at the register and throughout the store
• Direct customers to products and answer questions with confidence
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Answer and route incoming phone calls
• Restock shelves and maintain clean, organized displays
• Assist with special orders and customer call-backs
• Support the team with other store tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• Basic computer skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous cash-handling experience preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Willingness to learn our products and services
• Ability to climb ladders and work in a fast-paced environment
• Weekend availability
• High School diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing)
• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred
