Job Overview:

The Supply Chain Technician maintains inventory for PAR locations and places orders for restocking as necessary,

Consistently completes PAR rounds within desired times and requests, assists patient care staff with identifying supply needs and availability of alternatives when needed. Completes unit PAR inventory daily, places orders through the PeopleSoft system and restocks units to capacity.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent, basic

Preferred:

• Computer skills and strong communication skills.
• Experience in warehousing, materials management, or specific industries like healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and technical skills.
• Ability to lift ,push and pull up to 50 pounds

Scheduling Requirements:

• Monday–Friday

Essential Functions:

• The Supply Chain Technician maintains inventory for PAR locations and places orders for restocking as necessary.
• Consistently completes PAR rounds within desired times and requests, assists patient care staff with identifying supply needs and availability for alternatives when needed.
• Cleaning and orderliness of stockrooms and PAR areas.
• Rotate dated items on PARS,
• Maintains and records Code Cart supplies and PARS.
• Answer phones as required to assist customers.
• Review patient charge items and place orders for storeroom products as needed.
• Prepare medical equipment for distribution.
• Rotates dated items on all PAR units.
• Assist patient care staff with back orders and available alternatives as needed,
• Participates in various inventory counts as assigned,
• Review charge slips & replace non-stock items as needed for storeroom,
• Assembles Code Carts, Intubation bins, GU & ENT Carts, Stemi Boxes and Code Bat Carts, ensures availability at all times.
• Answers telephone requests promptly and accurately,
• Reports all patient care issues to Dept Manager,
• Provides patient care equipment as requested,
• Maintains KCI Pump inventory as needed and records on KCI site,
• Work with constant concern for the safety of all patients, co-workers, and visitors,
• Attend monthly staff meetings; make recommendations to accomplish the goals and objectives of the hospital;
• Perform other duties as assigned.
