Experienced Ophthalmic Technician
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Technician that is detailed oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. Some travel between our Monmouth County locations may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain a thorough and concise patient history, including relevant medical, ocular, and family history, to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye conditions
- Record visual acuity measurements using standardized testing methods, ensuring precise documentation of patients' visual function for diagnostic and treatment purposes
- Perform manifest refractions with precision and efficiency, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to determine the optimal refractive correction for patients with refractive errors
- Conduct intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements using tonometry techniques
- Accurately document examination findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to the dynamic needs of the practice, including willingness to travel between multiple office locations as needed.
Education Requirement:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification preferred, but not required.
Work Schedule:
8:30AM-5:00PM Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required for Saturdays and evenings.
