Morris Animal Inn is a family-owned and operated luxury pet resort offering the finest in lodging, grooming, training, and daycare for dogs and cats. Our busy Grooming Salon is now hiring a Permanent Part-Time Dog Bather to join our team in our Montville facility.

No prior professional experience is required—but a natural comfort around dogs of all sizes is essential! The starting rate is $15.50/hour, with additional pay considerations for candidates with prior pet care or grooming experience.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a career in dog grooming. Eligible employees may qualify for Tuition Assistance toward earning a professional dog grooming certification.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs using professional tools and products
• Cleaning ears, trimming nails, and brushing teeth
• Monitoring dogs for safety throughout the grooming process
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
• Collaborating with team members to ensure a positive experience for pets and their owners
• Gathering information from pet owners and updating pet records

What We’re Looking For

• Must be able to confidently handle dogs of all breeds and sizes; from the teacup type to the 'are you sure that's not a horse?' and everything in between.
• Willingness to perform cleaning duties related to animal care
• Team-oriented mindset with strong time management skills
• Ability to read and write in English (for documentation, communication, and safety procedures)
• Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Weekend and holiday availability is required
