Day shift, 5 days a week, from 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM.

Job Description

The Wound Care Nurse will focus on the assessment, management, and treatment of pressure injuries while interfacing with patients' primary caregivers. The highest priority is to address opportunities for reducing and preventing pressure injuries, and responsibilities include validating staging, assessments, documentation, and treatment protocols.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently assess, manage, and treat pressure injuries.
• Collaborate with primary nurses and educators to validate assessments and treatment plans.
• Maintain an Excel spreadsheet documenting key metrics for each patient with pressure injuries.
• Participate in wound rounds and prevalence assessments.
• Adapt to changes in shift end time based on documentation, admits/discharges, and staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in an acute care or critical care setting.
• WOCN and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with ostomy care and management is essential.
