Position:  ROLE PLAYERS 

Type: Part-Time/On-Call 

Location: Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL), NJ 

Travel:  10%

Position Summary : Role Players provide critical realism for Air Advisor training by portraying civilians, government officials, religious leaders, tribal elders, interpreters, and other specified characters native to target regions. These personnel enhance scenario-based learning and enable student engagement in realistic partner-nation and cross-cultural interactions. Role players work under the supervision of the Practical Exercise Scenario/Role Play Director to support exercise fidelity, learning objectives, and training effectiveness. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

These services are required to support unique efforts which may require: 

• Portray actors in training scenarios 

• Accurately represent civilians, government officials, tribal/religious leaders, interpreters, and other roles as required per exercise scenario 

• Take direction and feedback from the Scenario/Role Play Director 

• Maintain realism and consistency throughout the training scenario 

• Support exercise objectives and scenario fidelity 

• Communicate appropriately and effectively with students and staff 

Required Skills and Abilities:

• U.S. Citizenship/Residency required 

• Must possess a valid passport and driver's license 

• Fluent English, advanced communication skills 

• Interpersonal/communication skills and ability to follow direction 

• Professional conduct and compliance with all USAF EC policies 

• Shall be fluent in the specified target language and speak at a level consistent with a person indigenous to the region. 

• Shall have a working knowledge of English sufficient to interact with students, co-workers, and faculty. 

• Ability to stand, walk, and act for extended periods in various indoor/outdoor settings 

• Ability to wear provided wardrobe/props in support of role assignments 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:  While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
