Imaging Tech, Diagnostic Radiology, Full Time, Day
Position Summary reporting to and functioning under general supervision of the Supervisor, the Imaging Technologist prepares for a variety of radiologic procedures to produce images of the body for the diagnosis of pathological conditions and traumatic disorders. Operates radiation producing equipment following specific physician orders. Produces detailed images of patients for diagnostic information. Verifies patient identification process prior to imaging, selects patient from worklist, ensures exam is archived on the PACS and completed properly in the RIS. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all imaging protocols and new imaging equipment.

Responsibilities
- Operate radiation producing equipment following physician orders.
- Produce detailed diagnostic images of patients.
- Verify patient identification and select patients from the worklist.
- Ensure exams are archived on PACS and completed in RIS.
- Maintain facilities in proper order.
- Keep up-to-date with imaging protocols and new equipment.
- Work in sensitive areas including OR and critical care units.
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program and registration by the ARRT, or registry eligible.
- Must obtain registry within one (1) year of employment.
- Experience as a Radiographer preferred; new graduates with certification considered.
- Registered in Radiologic Technology by the ARRT and a current, valid license from the State of NJ DEP.
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
- Physical dexterity to operate a variety of complex stationary and mobile radiation producing equipment and mechanical accessories.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and vascular systems.
- Excellent interpersonal (oral, written, presentation) skills.
- Ability to perform tasks accurately with attention to detail and shift between tasks without loss of efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to patient needs.
- Ability to collaborate within the health‑system and with multidisciplinary team members.
- Effective time‑management skills to set priorities, perform job‑related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Analytical and critical‑thinking skills to problem‑solve.
