Canine Coach Trainer (CCT): Operations and Back of House Manager

Love dogs? Love building relationships? At Dogtopia , the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services, we’re looking for an energetic, organized, and operation focused manager to lead Canine Coaches, ensure smooth back of house functions, and increase dog retention.

The Canine Coach Trainer oversees all daily operations in the back of the house. Their responsibilities focus on upholding the Dogtopia health & safety standards while also ensuring the smooth functioning of the facility and the well-being of the canine guests. They are tasked with training and educating the Canine Coaches (CC) to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care. This includes engaging the CC team through interactive games and activities to maintain their enthusiasm and commitment to the job and ensuring engaged playrooms for the parents to observe resulting in higher retention. Additionally, the Canine Coach Trainer is responsible for supervising Rovers, maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the playroom, implementing protocols to ensure a secure and hygienic environment for the dogs.

Another key duty of the Canine Coach Trainer is to oversee the evaluation of new and current dogs in daycare to ensure they are daycare-ready, assessing their behavior and compatibility with the group dynamic. They are also tasked with conducting appropriate wellness checks daily to monitor the health and well-being of the dogs under their care and helping CCs identify dogs needing behavior modification plans. They must also hold the CC team accountable for sharing appropriate updates and communication with the Front Desk team enabling them to provide parents with updates on their dog’s experience and drive retention.

Overall, the Canine Coach Trainer partners with the General Manager to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the business, balancing operational excellence with a focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
