Matheny is a special hospital for children and adults with medically complex developmental disabilities. Our fully-accredited non-profit private school combines traditional academics with therapeutic intervention and pre-vocational skill development. Our Adult Services Program includes five licensed community residences/group homes and two adult learning centers. Staffed by experienced therapists and instructors, the program supports adult patients as they attain their highest level of functioning and integration into the community. Matheny's Arts Access program empowers individuals with disabilities to create art without boundaries. Matheny has a career opportunity available for a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist for the night shift.

Duties of this position include:

• Performs patient-focused Respiratory Therapy services.
• Participates in Code Blue team drills and evaluations.
• Provides education and staff training.
• Provides oversight for environmental safety and equipment management.
• Complies with all appropriate Joint Commission and CARF standards of care.
• Participates in the interdisciplinary pulmonary clinics.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The hourly rate for this position is $ 40.00 hourly.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current CPR Healthcare Certification required.(BLS and AED)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification preferred.(ACLS)
• National Board of Respiratory certification required.
