Sr. Manager, Program Management
- Responsible for assigned Program portfolio including allocation of annual orders, sales and operating income goals. Responsible for financial, schedule, and technical performance including all internal and external reporting to executive management and customers.
- Lead program executions and oversight of team responsible for program management of complex development, and production efforts including Systems, Software, Electrical & Mechanical Hardware, VHDL development, system product qualification, authority to operate, and low-rate production.
- Serve as a resource to remote teams in Massachusetts and Virginia locations to maximize Subject Matter Expertise and leverage resources across the enterprise to execute on time and with budget.
- Responsible for overall program portfolio execution, support new business capture management, and lead proposal development of follow-on programs within portfolio, engineering change proposals, and adjacent business capture in coordination with the Program Business Area and Business Development team.
- Develop program portfolio business plans including all financial metrics, staffing estimates, program status presentations, support of strategic market analysis, growth plans, and conduct capability presentations to current and new customers.
- Responsible for building effective relationships with customers and delivering overall customer value.
- Conduct process improvement initiatives within business portfolio and drive cost reduction plans for program execution in accordance with L3Harris internal continuous improvement projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with government contracting/manufacturing environment. Previous experience managing large, complex programs.
- Strong understanding of Government contracting requirements and execution of contract types.
- Familiar with DOD/MIL standards and military equipment qualification process.
- Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in Windows interface, Microsoft Office package (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access), and Microsoft Project.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Earned Value Management (EVM), Cost Performance Reports (CPR) as they relate to the WBS, schedule and cost plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to Communicate clearly and effectively, and, most importantly, promote collaboration among the team by listening intently to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions when appropriate, and allowing others to speak without interruption.
- Travel as required (Estimated 15%).
- US Citizenship required and ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret security clearance
- Active US Government Secret clearance.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or working towards certification.
