Who are we looking for?
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for installing electrical wiring and assembling components in control cabinets, electrical and industrial equipment, and related industrial apparatus according to blueprints and wiring diagrams. The position is also responsible for developing and implementing all controls for new machines and installing process controls systems for MacdermidAlpha globally. This role is crucial for ensuring that industrial electrical systems are installed correctly and function efficiently.
What will you be doing?
- Assemble Components: Assemble bases, sills, cabinet frames, and equipment structural components using tools such as jacks and hand tools.
- Read Blueprints: Interpret and follow blueprints and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate assembly and wiring.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and repair electrical problems using testing devices and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain Equipment: Perform preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain logs and records of labor, materials, and equipment used.
- Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team or independently to complete projects efficiently.
Who are You?
- Engineering degree and or a certified electrician.
- 1-3 years minimum of expereince in industrial electrical assembly and or wiring required.
- Relevant licenses, certificates are required to perform the essential duties of this job.
What competencies will you need?
- Must abide by all Company policies/procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations.
- Must be able to travel up to 30%.
- Possesses well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Addresses inquiries and resolves problems.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of electronics applications
- Present a professional attitude and handle confidential information according to non-disclosure guidelines.
- Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
- High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to speak, read and write English.
- Well-organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to interact professionally with internal customers at regional locations.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in various industrial environments.
