We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong experience in AI systems, MLOps , and production software engineering to help bridge research and product development. This role focuses on operationalizing proprietary and in-house machine learning and large language models into scalable, secure, and reliable production services. Key Responsibilities AI Systems Development & Deployment- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI and ML systems using proprietary, in-house, or fine-tuned models.
- Operationalize large language models (LLMs), agentic systems, and other AI technologies into scalable APIs and services.
- Fine-tune, evaluate, and optimize models for production performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and safety.
- Build and maintain infrastructure for model training, fine-tuning, inference, and serving.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability systems to track model performance, drift, and system health.
- Ensure secure, compliant deployment of AI systems by handling sensitive educational data.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for ML models and AI applications.
- Develop automated workflows for model training, versioning, testing, deployment, and rollback.
- Build scalable infrastructure for models serving cloud-native and containerized environments.
- Implement evaluation of pipelines, A/B testing, and feedback loops to continuously improve model quality.
- Support lifecycle management of models from research prototypes to production systems.
- Work closely with teams across ETS to deliver new functionality and support existing services.
- Partner with peers and leads to guide development approaches and share knowledge.
- Communicate technical updates, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and vendors.
- Proactively identify system or process gaps and recommend targeted improvements.
- Explore and help implement new technologies that enhance development capabilities.
- Support rollout, user training, and knowledge transfer for new applications and features.
- Production deployment of reliable, scalable AI-powered systems and services.
- Successfully operationalized proprietary or in-house ML and LLM models.
- Robust infrastructure supporting model training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Clear documentation of system architecture, model lifecycle, and engineering processes.
- Contributions to new AI-driven product capabilities that deliver measurable user and business value.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field.
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated experience deploying ML or AI systems into production.
- Demonstrated programming skills and general knowledge of information processing technology.
- Extensive experience with software engineering standards, practices, methods, and tools.
- Ability to interact effectively with all departments and employee levels.
- Must be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to problem resolution, attention to detail, and the ability to be part of a team-oriented (cross process/function/group) environment.
- Proficiency with Windows and Unix operating systems.
- Ingenuity and demonstrated proficiency in developing technical strategies.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to develop technical solutions that adhere to corporate business objectives .
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must have strong analytical skills.

- The base salary range advertised represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The base pay is only one aspect of the Total Rewards Package that will be offered to the successful candidate.
