Job Overview:

Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supervising supply chain activities including but not limited to distribution, central distribution, warehouse, storeroom and receiving functions within the facility at the direction of the SC Facility Manager. Responsible for overseeing SC Technicians and assisting the SC Facility Manager and SSCD in monitoring PARs based on product demand using PAR tools to ensure product availability while minimizing inventory cost. Assists SC Facility Manager and SSCD in facilitating and expediting the flow of materials to and from departments within the facility maintaining chain of custody for all products and equipment.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two to three years of supervisory experience
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills required

Preferred:

  • Two years of college preferred
  • Valid NJ Driver’s License preferred
  • Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) experience preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift- 10:00am-6:00pm
  • Monday-Friday with Rotate “on call”, weekend, and holiday assignments as assigned
  • Full Time-Day

Essential Functions:

  • Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, and initiatives and oversees orientation and training of new staff
  • Supervises direct reports and ensures Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met or exceeded
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for special projects, including training support in ERP. Supports SC management with project management requests
  • Exercises problem solving skills to meet customer needs
  • Assists SC Facility Manager in daily operations and special assignments delegated by SC Facility Manager or SSCD
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Interacts with other supply chain teams, clinicians and vendors to ensure proper flow of supplies into the facility
  • Supervises perpetual inventory and ensures the integrity of the perpetual inventory according to Policy
  • Oversees perpetual inventory cycle counts ensuring inventory accuracy
  • Participates in periodic and year end physical inventories as assigned
  • Supervises Receiving and ensures SC Receiving Policy & Procedures are adhered to including but not limited to chain of custody, tissue tracking, use of Handheld devices, capital equipment and special handling
  • Supervises work flow in the receiving department, setting priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ensures all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met
  • Responsible for researching receiving and delivery discrepancies
  • Reviews back order report daily and works with SC leadership & CRD team to identify product substitutions; works with SC Manager to source substitute items; communicates back order substitutes to SC technicians and provides labels where needed
  • Mitigates all customer service, employee and end user concerns. Responds to calls on hospital issued phone in a timely fashion
  • Uses customer service skills to communicate and respond to customer needs and requests
  • Escalates all questions or concerns to SC Facility Manager that are not easily resolvable
  • Provides support to other Distribution Department functions as needed
