Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing

• Develop value-laden Basic Utility Bedding products to maximize sales and profitability.
• Create line architecture that supports company strategy.
• Utilize Consumer Insight's to enhance and confirm product strategy.
• Curate recommended assortment for the distribution channel and retailer.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best costs, targeted retail pricing and margins.
• Establish and maintain effective business relationships with retailers, licensors, and vendors.
• Analyze retail landscape and competitive environment. ? Drive retailer and product initiatives.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Product Development, Manufacturing, Sourcing, QC, and Planning departments.
• Ensure end-to-end execution process.
• Attend industry events.
• Travel Globally for retail meetings, product sourcing and innovation.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years in the home textiles industry. Prefer bedding experience in merchandising and marketing.

Skills

• Customer, marketplace and product expert.
• Comprehensive in Retail Math.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Creative, assertive and solution oriented.
• Successfully motivate, negotiate, and influence with retailers, vendors, licensors, and cross-functional departments.
