Overnight Respite Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location: Manchester, NJ
Schedule: Overnight Shift – 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM
Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time Available

AmeriWell Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide overnight in-home respite services for an adult individual with developmental disabilities in Manchester, New Jersey.
This position is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while providing peace of mind to families and caregivers.
Responsibilities:
* Provide overnight supervision and support in the individual's home
* Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the individual throughout the shift
* Assist with personal care as needed
* Monitor for behavioral or medical concerns and follow established support plans
* Complete required documentation and progress notes accurately and timely
* Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
* Communicate effectively with family members, agency staff, and support team members
* Follow all agency policies, NJ DDD regulations, Danielle's Law, and incident reporting requirements
Qualifications:
* Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
* Experience working with individuals who have behavioral support needs is highly desirable
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
* Ability to pass a criminal background check
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the overnight s
